Stuck in a Rut?
I recently went to a charity event involving the roasting
of Magic Johnson by a group of comedians. It was a funny night.
One comedian had a routine that made me laugh. He spoke about
how hard it is to have a good time when you are broke with
bills that have not been paid. The comedian strutted on stage
mimicking a “broke” fan clapping and laughing
and then being jolted out of the moment with the realization
that “damn I owe two months on my car lease”.
While quite funny, I thought about how many in the audience
had that same thought floating through their heads. Maybe
it’s not about money but something that is just sitting
there, lingering, taking them out of the moment.
Maybe business is going in the wrong direction. Perhaps they
are fighting with a brother or sister or parent. How about
a kid who has problems in school or worse? Or maybe work is
unbearable.
Just reading the list takes me out of the moment of having
fun.
These are the types of issues that can leave you feeling
in a rut. A coach can help you by not only addressing the
problem but looking at the things you do that get you stuck
or in repetitive problems. You can tackle things head on with
Target Coaching or maybe take a step back and examine
life as a whole. Our program the Your Better Life Strategy
Sessions is a structured way of examining your life.
It would be great to just sit there having a good time without
daily troubles floating in and out of one’s head. Sounds
like a lot more fun to me.
